This major celestial event is occurring between the hours of 9:00 AM -12:00 noon and the Recreational and Parks Department is anticipating extremely large crowds at the Griffith Observatory. Here are some measures we're taking to guide and direct traffic on the day of:

7:30 AM: LADOT officers will be at Los Feliz Blvd and Fern Dell, Commonwealth, Vermont intersections to guide traffic.

8:00 AM: LADOT DASH will be providing shuttles from the Greek Theatre parking lots and the Sunset/Vermont Metro Red Line Station lot to the Observatory.

9 a.m - 12 noon Celestial Event

1) Uber, Lyft and taxis will not be able to drive to the hilltop if the roads are impacted.

2) Cal Trans will be monitoring freeway off-ramps and will adjust electronic signs if needed.

3) If the park reaches capacity we will need to shut down park access which can contribute to traffic on neighborhood streets.

4) The best method of transportation will be to board the shuttles that operate from the Greek Theatre parking lots and the Sunset/Vermont Metro Red Line Station.
