Renee Weitzer is the Senior Advisor for Land Use & Development for Councilmember David Ryu representing Council District 4.
Renee is involved in Land Use, Planning and Development issues in Council District Four and brings her strong experience in serving the communities of Council District Four in advising the office.
Renee has an unparalleled experience in planning issues specific to Council District Four. She has worked for the City of Los Angeles since 1984, first serving as an aide to Councilman Joel Wachs of the Second Council District. She has served a combined 27 years in Council District Four, first for then-Council President John Ferraro before becoming chief of planning for Ferraro's successor Tom LaBonge. She has previously worked in the office of Councilmember David Ryu from his inauguration until May 2016.
