Homelessness is the crisis of our time. Far too many people go to sleep on our streets each night, especially in LA's denser areas. We need permanent solutions and wraparound services for our unhoused Angelenos. The Maple Apartments are on such solution. With 63 units and wraparound services, the Maple Apartments will will save lives and rebuild lives after homelessness.
With services provided by Koreatown Youth + Community Center (KYCC), the Maple Apartments will not just provide homes, but a community of care to residents.
September 18, 2019: Maple Apartments are recommended by $6.6 million in Proposition HHH funding by the Homelessness & Poverty Committee.
October 15, 2019: Maple Apartments secures $6.6 million in HHH funding from City Council, providing over 20% of the total development cost of the project.
2019-2020: Other funding sources identified, while community outreach continues.
