Nicholas Greif is the Director of Policy and Legislation for Councilmember David Ryu representing Council District 4.
Previously, Greif was an economic adviser and business team representative for Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. He led the Mayor’s policy campaigns to raise the minimum wage in Los Angeles and to reform the outdated gross receipts business tax. Additionally, Greif managed the growth strategies for the industry sectors of aerospace, bioscience, and healthcare. Before joining the Mayor, he worked as a strategy & operations consultant for Deloitte Consulting.
Greif holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business and a minor in Political Science from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
Born in Los Angeles, and growing up in Council District 4, Greif loves to travel and enjoys a good board game. He lives in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Palms and was recently elected as President of the Palms Neighborhood Council.
