82nd Annual Fall Festival

The Original Farmers Market at Third & Fairfax is pleased to announce the official schedule for its 82nd Annual Fall Festival, taking place on Saturday, Oct. 15 and Sunday, Oct. 16.  The Original Farmers Market created the free festival in 1934 to celebrate the harvest and the launch of the (then) brand new Farmers Market. This year, the age-old tradition continues in spectacular fashion at the Los Angeles landmark, which will be decorated for the autumnal harvest season to celebrate a weekend filled with entertainment and activities for patrons of all ages.

Among the activities guests will enjoy are:

  • An animal-friendly petting zoo with a variety of critters, including pigs, goats and bunnies
  • World-famous All-Alaskan Pig Races, featuring flat-track racing and hurdling
  • Kid-sized, pedal-powered tractor pull competitions
  • Demonstrations from old time artisans including a pumpkin carver, wool spinner, wheat weaver and more
  • A classic “no hands” pie-eating contest sponsored by Du-par’s, hosted by the Fall Festival mascot, a quick-witted scarecrow named Brian
