On October 21, I hosted a meeting regarding public safety on 6th street from Fairfax to La Brea Avenues.
In this meeting, my office, along with LADOT and LAFD, shared information about the frequency and cause of accidents on this stretch of 6th street.
There have been three fatalities on 6th street in the past five years. That is three too many. Solving this issue, and finding a lasting solution that protects public safety and includes the perspectives of all community stakeholders, is my priority.
If you couldn't make it to this meeting, information on the proposed safety improvements can be found below -
My letter to the community can be read here.
Hi-resolution renderings of 6th Street at present, as well as Option A and Option B for proposed changes can be found here.
Finally, please fill out this survey to make your thoughts known on proposed traffic safety improvements on 6th Street between Fairfax and La Brea Avenues.
Thank you for taking this time for your community and for traffic safety on 6th Street.
